Epitalon (10 mg Vial)

Synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) developed from pineal gland research. Studied for telomerase activation, telomere elongation, melatonin normalization, and geroprotective effects.

Research highlights

Activates telomerase to promote telomere elongation in cell cultures.
Stimulates nocturnal melatonin release from the pineal gland.
Human trials showed improved cardiovascular outcomes over 12-year follow-up.

How this works

Epitalon's primary mechanism involves telomerase activation, promoting telomere elongation in cells. In vitro studies demonstrated it induced telomerase and lengthened telomeres in human cell cultures. It also influences the neuroendocrine system by stimulating nocturnal melatonin release from the pineal gland, normalizing circadian hormone rhythms in aged subjects. Additional reported effects include antioxidant activity and immune modulation.

Storage

  • Lyophilized: store at −20 °C (−4 °F) for long-term; refrigerate at 2–8 °C for routine use.
  • Reconstituted: refrigerate at 2–8 °C; use within 2–4 weeks; avoid freeze–thaw.
  • Reconstitute one vial at a time (every 2 days) to keep solutions fresh.
